How to Download an Instagram Carousel (Every Slide)

What a carousel actually is

Instagram calls a multi-slide post a sidecar. Internally it is one post containing a list of child items, each with its own media, and a slide can be a photo or a video, mixed in any order.

That structure is why so many downloaders return a single image: they read the post's top-level preview and stop, never walking the child list.

Getting all the slides

1. Open the post and tap share → Copy link. One link covers the whole carousel, so you do not need to link each slide.
2. Paste it into the downloader.
3. Every slide is listed separately with its own Save button, tagged MP4 or JPG.
4. Save the ones you want, or work down the list for all of them.

Mixed photo and video carousels

These are handled per slide: video slides come back as MP4 with audio, photo slides as full-size JPG. The order matches what you see in the app, so slide 3 in Instagram is the third item in the list.

Limits

• Carousels on private accounts can't be read, because that needs a logged-in session.
• A deleted or archived post returns nothing, even if the link still looks valid.
• Instagram allows up to 20 slides per post; all of them come through.
