How to Download Multiple Instagram Photos and Carousels at Once

The problem with saving photos one by one

A single carousel can hold up to 20 slides. Saving a dozen carousels by hand means hundreds of taps, and screenshots lose resolution on top of that. Bulk downloading turns the whole job into one upload and one ZIP.

How to do it

1. Put the post links in a spreadsheet, one per cell. Ways to collect them quickly.
2. Save it as .xlsx or .csv and drop it into the bulk downloader.
3. Each carousel row shows what it found, for example "8 photos" or "1 video, 5 photos".
4. Press Download all as ZIP. Every slide from every post is in the archive, numbered in the order it appears on Instagram.

Full resolution, not thumbnails

Instagram stores each photo at several sizes, from 150 pixels up to 1440, and the list it returns is not ordered by size. A tool that grabs the last entry ends up with a 150 × 150 thumbnail. This one picks the largest version of every slide. More on photo resolution.

Keeping files organised

Files are named after the post they came from, so slides stay grouped: Instagram_ABC123_1.jpg, Instagram_ABC123_2.jpg and so on. Sort the extracted folder by name and each post's slides sit together, in order.

• Backups of an account's photo posts before a rebrand or cleanup.

Photos only?

There is no photo-only switch; the ZIP holds whatever each post contains. If you only want images, list only photo and carousel posts in your sheet, or sort the extracted folder by type and delete the MP4s.
